The Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical Entrance Examination (KEAM) 2026,
conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala,
is now open for applications. KEAM continues to be a crucial entrance examination for students
seeking admission to professional degree courses in Kerala, while also offering
All India eligibility for candidates from across the country.

Admission Basis – Important Clarification
KEAM functions both as an entrance examination and a mandatory registration platform.
Admission to certain courses is based on national-level exams, but KEAM registration
remains compulsory.
- Engineering & Pharmacy: Based on KEAM 2026
- Medical & Allied Courses: Based on NEET-UG
- Architecture: Based on NATA score
Important: Even if admission is through NEET-UG or NATA, candidates
must register for KEAM to participate in Kerala’s centralized allotment process.

All India Eligibility & Category Classification
KEAM applicants are categorized for admission purposes as follows:
- Keralite: Candidates of Kerala origin
- Non-Keralite Category I (NK I): Candidates meeting specified eligibility conditions
- Non-Keralite Category II (NK II): Other non-Keralite candidates
While non-Keralite candidates are eligible for admission, certain reservations and fee
concessions are applicable only to Keralite candidates, as per state government rules.
